1. The living area of our 35-year-old house is now a beautifully updated “great room” thanks to Doug Moran’s creativity and expert craftsmanship. He removed an energy-robbing atrium and replaced it with a well-designed open area containing a custom built-in china cabinet, a buffet and book shelves on both sides. The ceiling is lofted and the walls are accented by rough-hewn beams, Venetian plaster and crown molding. The open living area is defined from the dining area by two beautiful columns that match the design of the china cabinet. All of these interior changes required some extensive adjustments to the roof and infrastructure and Doug worked his magic there as well. Friends are amazed at the transformation in this portion of our home. Doug Moran is truly a gifted in redesign techniques and a true carpentry artist!

1. Replacing our old aluminum single-pane windows with energy-efficient windows is one of the wisest decisions we have ever made. Our home contains 3500+ square feet. Previously, electricity costs averaged about $300 a month. Our most recent bill, which included some of the coldest weather this year, was only $128.00. The savings are definitely worth the change, but an added advantage is the huge decrease in the level of outside noise. Moreover, the appearance of our home is fresher and much more attractive. We certainly made the right choice, too, in selecting Doug Moran for our purchase and installation. We won all the way around!
